M-Fluid ST is Carboxymethyl Starch and used as fluid loss control agent for water-based drilling. No biocide addition is required to M-Fluid ST applied drilling muds and the product is not affected by solid concentrations of the drilling mud. It produces a hard, slippery filter cake that reduces friction and potentially increases penetration rates.
CMS LS is a low viscosity CARBOXYMETHYL STARCH specially produced for the paper and textile industries. CMS LS can be used alone or in mixture with hydrophilic polymers. It has good adhesion to natural and synthetic fibers, and the ability to make strong and semi-flexible films. CMS LS is used in the paper industry as a strength enhancer in size / film press applications. By creating a flexible film on the paper surface, it prevents the breaking and cracking problems seen at the folding points.
