Type 5 Steam Integrators can be used inside each load to monitor time, temperature and steam exposure conditions and can provide the necessary sterilization assurance. Type 5 integrator mimics the ability of a biological indicator at three separate points during the sterilization process because it will monitor both time and temperature without requiring incubation as does a biological indicator. The Integrator consists of a paper wick and steam and temperature-sensitive chemical pellet contained in a foil laminate. The chemical pellet melts and migrates as a dark color along with the paper wick. The migration is visible through a window marked as REJECT or ACCEPT. • It can be used for steam sterilization cycles. • Moving front style has (Accept/Reject) readout for instant results without interpretation. • Safe, non-toxic chemicals is used. No risk for contamination or transfer of sterile items. • Compatible with ISO 11140-1.
National and International Standards demand that vacuum-assisted steam sterilizers must be tested at the beginning of each working day. Test Pack designed for vacuum-assisted sterilizers to test the efficiency of the vacuum system, to remove air from the sterilizer chamber and to detect leaks in the system that would allow air into the chamber. A uniform change of the indicator sheet indicates that all the air was removed and replaced by steam it also indicates that steam penetration occurs in a healthy way. Performed after a warm-up cycle at the beginning of every day, the Bowie-Dick Test verifies the sterilizer effectively removes air. A reliable sterilization tape that provides immediate identification of processed items and also serves as a closure tape to seal sterilization packs. Chemical indicator strips change color when exposed to appropriate sterilization conditions. The sterilization tapes are suitable for steam, ethylene oxide and hydrogen peroxide sterilization processes. • Water-based and non-toxic chemical indicator is used. • It adheres to woven, treated woven, non-woven, paper and paper/plastic wraps. • The adhesive feature ensures that the winding material is safely packed and removed from the material in a clean/ easy way. • Compatible with ISO 11140-1. Sterilization tape changes color when subjected to sterilization process. It is important to note that the presence of sterilization tape that has changed color on an item does not ensure that the product is sterile, the tape only shows if sterilization has been performed.
