Company Profile
In 1989, we, as Ulusoy Flour Mills, started production facilities with a processing capacity of 180 metric tonnes per day. Today, we have expanded our capacity to 900 metric tonnes per day through all our mills. The increase in the processing capacity of our mills has helped to strengthen our position in the market place.
Our pricincipals in production, quality control, customer satisfaction and Professional management approach will continue to be a contributing factor to our expansion on the global market and profitability.
1989-91 Establishment of Ulusoy Un
180 tons/day capacity wheat factory became operational in Samsun on 8 Jan 1991.
1995 Commencement of Export and import activity
Flour exports started to new countries as a result of the disintegration of the Soviet Union.
1996 Raising Samsun factory capacity to 240 tons/day
By expanding the export markets an extra capacity need was felt.
2000 Transfer of all shares to Ulusoy Family
By purchasing the shares of Demirer Family, 100% of Ulusoy Flour shares were passed to Ulusoy Family.
2003 Establishment of 400 tons/day capacity Corlu factory
The Corlu/ Tekirdag facility of Ulusoy Flour started production in October with the aim of increasing competition in the western markets of Turkey.
2003 Entrance to overseas exports
After commencing operations at the Corlu factory, exports started to reach markets in containers through Istanbul Ambarlı Port.
2007 Beginning national raw material trade
Commercial wheat sales started by increasing export capacity with the aim of choosing high class wheat from imported wheat for its own production and facilitating stock management directed manufacturing.
2008 Increasing capacity of Samsun factory to 500 tons/day
As a result of domestic and foreign demand, a second unit with 260 tons/day capacity was built on the current factory area.
2009 Establishment of 34,000 tons capacity warehouse in Samsun
Warehouse was built 1.8 km from the port, and 2.5 km from the Samsun factory to increase raw material storage due to rise in production capacity.
2011 Beginning international transit trade
In far east markets, favorable freight rates due to container reverse traffic provided flour export and transit wheat trade development.
2013 Purchasing 17% of SASBAS shares
Increased transit trade capacity created duty free zone storage capacity. As a result, a 17% stake in Samsun Free Zone Operator which had a 76,750 ton grain storage capacity, was purchased.
2014 600 ton/day capacity flour factory investment in Samsun Food OIZ
Building licence has been obtained and excavation works started for the factory planned to be built on a 30,000 m2 area.
