Exporters Will Compensate for Their Losses in Europe Through Distant Markets

TradeAtlas CEO Ali Emek said, “By 2025, e-export is expected to account for at least 5% of total exports, and this share is projected to reach 10% by 2030.”

Stating that the energy crisis in Europe will lead to a decline in orders in the first half of the year, exporters have turned to new and distant markets. E-commerce will gain more importance next year for exporters who want to improve their export network. Reminding that e-export received a 1.3 percent share of Turkey's overall exports of $225 billion in 2021, TradeAtlas CEO Ali Emek said, "With the new support mechanisms and action plans announced by the Ministry of Commerce to encourage e-exports, the share of e-exports in general exports is expected to reach at least 5 percent by 2025 and 10 percent by 2030. Companies in Turkey need to keep up with the digital transformation and increase their commercial intelligence activities in order to get more share from global e-export markets."
